The primary aim of this assignment is the development of the Production and Work Project for the new Ice Cream Stalls in Madrid - OCEAN model to be added to the Catalogue of Standardization of Street Urban Furniture carried out by the Madrid City Council.

The starting point of the design of the Ice Cream Stall has been the search for a changing shape to get a double perception of the same thing. In the closed position it expects to be a pure element, almost rational, with a huge capacity for the relief of the urban reality which is really often saturated with messages and advertising signs. In the open position the original silhouette disappears by virtue of winding shapes to draw the attention to the activity that is going to take place inside.

For that purpose the enclosure has been designed by aluminium louvers with different length. That variation makes winding shapes when the sliding doors are being opened and gets the dematerialization of the main volume.

All dimensions are the result of the optimization between interior clearance which is regulated by Labor State Rules and the minimum exterior size for the urban placing. The materiality is the reflection of its own genesis as an element produced by industrial processes.
